Was it something only Mages could get with their Ice Block? Well apparently not, because I achieved it a couple of days ago with my level 19 Druid.

As it turns out, Thunder Bluff's elevator platforms are roughly 70 to 80 meters off the ground (I'll make that a fact someday), however as we all know that's a deathwish if you try and jump it.

Here's where luck plays a part. I've been trying for quite some time now to ride the elevators down, only instead of being inside I want to be on top (even though I'm a sub). My unsuccessful attempts usually leave me splattered all over the ground, but my little escapade as of late left me with a glitch and a sweet achievement to be proud of.

Apparently if you hit the elevator's roof on your way down to death's grassy floor, it breaks your fall ever so slightly. Of course I wasn't even going for the achievement at the time, but I hereby claim that having fun DOES pay off.

Either way you turn the cookie, I landed with about 2 health to my name as the trumpets bellowed in the background and my achievement notice sprang into view. Suddenly, beyond the noise of fighting I hear the sound of a dismounting player behind me. I turn to look and I see Insanefox, a level 34 Undead Rogue standing there. I do the same, and then low and behold! He asks me if I need any help! I admitted that yeah, these monsters were rather tough and I did have to go pretty far in. He was here for the skinning, so it was a mutually beneficial decision to team up. I would get my quest drops and he would get his pelts, leather or whatever stuff he got from those things.

We went through much of the dungeon together, he got plenty of skins and I finished my questing. As I speak, I've yet to turn in those quests.... I left shortly thereafter to write this. You have to be in the moment, you know? We said our goodbyes and I thanked him profusely for not only his help, but also the great story he gave to me.

This is how we should be acting, people. You ponder this for a second, wondering if you would rather solo the Witchwing Slayers yourself or enjoy the company of another person.

Having the natural need to socialize, I choose the second option. I accepted the invite from a level 14 Blood Elf mage who went by the name of "Underwhere". He had a quest that needed finishing and quite frankly I did as well, so we both hunted our monsters together. He behaved fairly and seemed intelligent, however I couldn't help notice that he looted monsters very quickly without ever waiting for me to take a look at what was inside. Since he was a pretty nice guy, I let it slide.

We followed this routine for a bit, we ran into the boss monster of the area (unknown name, forgot to screeny it). It attacked him on sight and I started shooting heals his way to keep him alive, after which I shifted into bear form and attacked the boss alongside him. Several heals and a couple of potions later, we managed to defeat her...... and OMG the treasure was awesome! Well, from what little glimpse I got of it. According to my ninja-looting friend, he did most of the damage. Apparently that gives you looting rights even if your team needs the items.

Putting on a very polite attitude, I recommended that he read the World of Warcraft strategy guide books for some gaming tips. His response? A list of extremely high level characters he apparently owned, followed by the rather dull statement of "I doubt I need any tips...". I pressed further, explaining that leveling tips weren't necessarily what he would get out of it. When he asked what kind of tips were in the book, I simply stated "Etique" and left it at that.

To top it off, this story ends with a fight between 4 Witchwing Slayers, Underwhere and myself. These numbers were reduce very quickly to 4 Witchwing Slayers and myself when I realized Underwhere had high-tailed it to his HearthStone location, probably to avoid any possible death. Luckily, I did manage to kill them all.

Unlike a lot of stories, this one is unique and ended in a good way. I parted from him via whisper, shoving off to write this blog. Thanks for the story Underwhere, may you have many pleasant questing days and even more money for strategy guides!

Gameplay Tips:

Sometimes it's more important to learn about how to play with people rather than how to play the game.

Never EVER ninja-loot, especially on a boss.

Don't run off when your team needs you.

Greetings and Salutations!

Hello world! My name is Wolf, your everyday online World of Warcraft gamer with one little not-so-everyday tweak..... I have a story I want to share.

You see, life on WoW can be an interesting experience to say the least. Being an online community, there are actual REAL people walking and talking, eating and drinking, killing and making love war. This brings about events that naturally occur in reality: Friendship, fellowship, honorship, all of the other ships and more. This is where I come in.

Meet Stark, my (insert level here) Druid located on the Undermine server. Yes yes, I do realize there isn't any "Wolf" in my name. Normally I would be called DreamingWolf, TheWolf, Wolff etc, but WoW is a big world with very little naming choices to choose from. I was lucky to even get this name, as unique as it is! Once my 30 day name change is up you'll start seeing me as Wolfpaws or something like that, I'll have to see.

Anyway, back on topic. My main duty will be to take screenshots of my in-game adventures and bring them here to let you know what's up. I'll be offering tips that will be helpful to any online gamer, as well as information that you all might enjoy. The life of a Druid is an exciting one, so jump on in and remember: Do not underestimate the power of the forest!
